About the teacher
I am a professional musician and music teacher with more than 30 years of teaching and performing experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Republic of Azerbaijan and have spent many years teaching Tar, Setar, and Kamancheh.
Before moving to the United States, I founded and managed a music institute in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan, Iran, where I taught students of different ages and organized music programs, group performances, and concerts.
Music has been an important part of my life for many years.
My goal is not only to teach students how to play an instrument, but also to help them understand, enjoy, and connect with music.
On stage
In addition to teaching, I have many years of experience performing Tar and traditional music on stage.
My performances include Iranian and Azerbaijani traditional music as well as arrangements inspired by Turkish, Armenian, classical, and regional musical traditions. I have performed both as a solo musician and as part of ensembles.
